Provisions — Wiki

Provisions turns grocery receipts — emailed or photographed — into Grocy stock, entirely on your own hardware, with a human review step.

This wiki is the operator manual. For the what-and-why, see the repo README.

Contents

  • Setup — requirements, building the image, running the container, every config variable
  • Usage — photographing a receipt, the email path, the review workflow, installing the PWA

In one breath

You point it at your Grocy and a local Ollama (and optionally an IMAP mailbox). It reads each receipt, proposes Grocy line items, and waits for you to approve them in a small installable web app. Photographed receipts go through OpenCV → OCR → LLM so prices aren't hallucinated; emailed receipts use per-store extractors. Nothing is written to Grocy until you say so, and nothing leaves your network.
